- Food and gear for Saltwraiths (combat 24).
- A fishing rod and bait.
- Travel: Captain Maren at The Docks (around (34, 19)) sails to Greywake Isle for 250 coins; the trip back is free.

Talk to Emmy in Emmy's Cottage (door at (43, 17) on Greywake Isle). Choose Low Tide, Long Shadows and then Accept quest.
Stand next to the desk at (5–6, 4) in Emmy's Cottage and choose Inspect Tide Ledger. Read the pages to the end.
Examine all three sites on Greywake Isle, in any order: dark shoreline salt at (21, 30), an old survey groove at (35, 17) and exposed coastal stone at (51, 20). Stand next to each one and read the pages to the end.
Kill Saltwraiths on Greywake Isle. Each kill gives 1
Black Salt Residue until you have 5 (backpack and bank count together).Talk to Elias Venn around (28, 24) on Greywake Isle, choose Low Tide, Long Shadows and then Continue.
Fish anywhere on Greywake Isle. Each successful catch has a 1 in 5 chance to bring up the
Drowned Survey Marker, and the 5th catch always does.Go to the large stone door at (52–53, 17–19) on the eastern shore and choose Inspect sealed Archive door. If you lost any Black Salt or the marker since earning them, they are replaced here.
Talk to Emmy and choose Complete quest. The Black Salt Residue and the survey marker are removed when the quest completes.
Notes
- The door will not open yet. It is the entrance to the Drowned Archive, which you open in The Drowned Archive.
