Martin wants to see that you can feed yourself. Show him three pieces of raw meat, then cook three Cooked Meat while the quest is active and report back.

Raw Meat, plus a few spares in case some burn. Martin only checks that you have them; the meat is used up when you cook it, not by Martin. - Best sources: Cows in the pen south of the barn (always drop 1–2 Raw Meat), Wild Horses (always 1–2), Sheep and Chickens (sometimes).
- A heat source: Martin's own stove inside his house is the easiest. Any campfire works too (you need a
Sparker, which Frida gives away, and a log).
